Bio of Founder & CEO

A bio of our Founder & Chief Executive Officer Joshua Jones is below.

I have been working with law firms supporting both private and public companies since my first job as a Corporate Paralegal at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati at the end of the dot.com era. They taught me how to help walk a young company from their seed round through their IPO. I used that knowledge extensively during the sixteen years I spent at Cooley. I started out there as a Research Analyst before transitioning to a role as a Competitive Intelligence Analyst. A large part of my time at Cooley was spent assisting individuals in the Business Development and Marketing Departments, profiling private equity and venture capital investors for early stage companies.

Beginning with my start at Wilson Sonsini, I have long been drawn to the venture capital market. I enjoy working with entrepreneurs and helping them build their companies from the ground up. While my career prior to 2021 has been spent working in large Am Law 100 law firms, my roles at those firms have been focused primarily on several tasks:

- Assisting early stage companies with their deal flow and making the necessary filings.
- Profiling companies and deals for private equity and venture capital investors to help them find the best opportunities.
- Profiling private equity and venture capital investors for early stage companies raising capital.
- Monitoring the market and the competition, to avoid being caught off guard by trends such as the boom in SPACs that came on in 2020.
